A rather hasty post today as Iβm without full computer access. Do not fear, however, as I have a wonderful treat coming for you later this week to make up for the fact.
In the meantime, I saw this piece on one of my favourite ridiculously quirky elements of architecture: crinkle crackles!
β¦it is a wavy, sinuous, snake-like, with alternating convex and concave curves. It is what is known as a crinkle-crankle wall, defined by Nikolaus Pevsner in his Architectural Glossary (2010) as βa garden wall undulating in a series of serpentine curvesβ.
