Hello my lovely, Ecclesiasticals! I hope youโre all doing well (well, as well as can be thanks to this dreadful UK weather). Once againโapologies for being so terrible at posting, but my excuse is almost over as the manuscript for my next book is due for submission in just over a week, so Iโll finally be a bit freer to conjure up entertaining anecdotes for you all.
And that being said, I started to ask myself whether Iโd actually gone into detail on the history behind many of the subjects I postโand my answer was, likely, no! Iโm here to remedy that today. Letโs start with pilgrimage and unpack it in a little more detail: what is it, how did it come to be, and how has it changed over time?
