Hello my lovely, Ecclesiasticals! I hope youβre all doing well (well, as well as can be thanks to this dreadful UK weather). Once againβapologies for being so terrible at posting, but my excuse is almost over as the manuscript for my next book is due for submission in just over a week, so Iβll finally be a bit freer to conjure up entertaining anecdotes for you all.
And that being said, I started to ask myself whether Iβd actually gone into detail on the history behind many of the subjects I postβand my answer was, likely, no! Iβm here to remedy that today. Letβs start with pilgrimage and unpack it in a little more detail: what is it, how did it come to be, and how has it changed over time?
