Virtual Refectory: Let's take a walk on the wild side
You never know what you might run into...
Morning, Ecclesiasticals—hope you’re having a lovely week!
Many of you no doubt know I have a place in my heart for pilgrimage (little surprise no doubt, given the subject of my first book and doctorate), but my particular fondness for particularly St Cuthbert’s Way outweighs most other routes. The way straddles the English-Scottish border and culminates on the beautiful remote idyll that is Lindisfarne in Northumberland, also known as Holy Island. I try and visit at least once a year. However, I realised that many don’t actually know its underlying history—so I present it here, plus a few more of my fave peregrinations. I’d love to hear your favourite too, so please share them below.
