Hello to all of my lovely Ecclesiasticals,
I hope you had a thoroughly enjoyable festive period—ate as much as you wished, received the gifts you longed for, and spent quality time with loved ones.
I had a lovely break from the daily grind, one much needed. And, on that note, I do fear that I may have to put pause to another: this Substack. I have immensely enjoyed connecting with you all and truly appreciate all the support you have sent my way; I couldn’t do any of this without you, truly. Alas, my current job is becoming ever more intense and, with me now undertaking a lot of public inquiry work (think court cases for planning applications), the minute amount of free time I once had is quickly eroding away. That’s not to say more books aren’t on the way. They are. Bone Collectors will be edited by me in the new year so should be released in the not too distant future. And there’ll be more where that came from.
I just don’t want to keep letting you all down by posting only sporadically so instead I thought it best to close this Substack. Those who signed up to lifetime membership, firstly, thank you (you’re amazing!), and, secondly, drop me a message on my social media and I will send on any further signed copies of my books or prints if you haven’t already received them all, or there’s some you’d like that you haven’t yet got your hands on.
I will thus remain on social media though I am most active now on Instagram and my author page on Facebook (my Twitter — sorry, X! — is still extant but, come on, the platform is almost dead and I do regularly post on LinkedIn but that is more work related). My IG is wells_emma and Facebook public page is Dr Emma J Wells. I will also be authoring bits and pieces for the likes of Tudor Places magazine etc (do check it out if you haven’t!) and my weekly column for Welcome to Yorkshire. My website will remain up at www.emmajwells.com (I promise to update it soon!).
If you ever want to contact me, those profiles above are the platforms to do so.
With that being said, all that is left to say from me once again is thank you. Thank you for the enduring support. Thank you for believing in my work and writing.
Edit: I’ve decided that, rather than press delete, I’ve paused all subscriptions going forward so essentially this site will still remain active so the content won’t disappear but you won’t be charged and I doubt I’ll be posting much in future. If I do, it’ll be FoC. So feel free to dip into this content whenever you choose!
Thank you again everyone.
Emma x
