Hello, my lovely Ecclesiasticals!

Bear with me this week as I’ve got another busy one: I’m leading two study days for Andante but that means gorgeous pics of Durham and Ripon cathedrals are on their way !

I thought I’d continue the deathly theme. Death, or the afterlife, was an integral aspect of the medieval church, even the medieval world, in fact. Why? Well, what we did on Earth was believed to have a weighty bearing on what happened when we left. And so, the medieval populous did all they could to ensure they got to the β€œright” place (well, left technically), and as swiftly as possible, post-mortem. Let’s find out how…
