Grab a cuppa, a cake, and let’s chat.

Hello, my lovely Ecclesiasticals!
What a scorcher it is again. I’m on annual leave today; the start of 4 days off. No rest for the wicked, however. Tomorrow I’ll be making the 4.5 hour drive to Salisbury, ahead of leading a study day for Andante Travels on Friday. I lead this study day (and a longer tour plus other sites) several times a year—and I blooming well love doing so! If you’ve never been on one of these tours or study days, I highly recommend them. A day of church crawling with me, a lovely tour manager, exclusive access to the sites and specialist tours, plus, better still, afternoon tea-style lunch with cake! Here, have a peruse of Andante’s website.
So, I thought I’d drop a quick bit of background to Old Sarum and New, ie, the old cathedral and the current site, so even if you can’t join me, you’ve learned a tad about these fascinating holy wonders!
